Bill Hamilton

Bill Hamilton (died prior to 2024) was an American UFO researcher widely credited as the first person to publicly define and produce an image of the Alien Reproduction Vehicle (ARV) concept. He served as a key facilitator who connected crucial witnesses — including Mark McCandlish and Bill Uhouse — to researcher Steven Greer, and compiled some of the earliest systematic documentation of alleged underground UAP facilities in the American Southwest. His 1992 book Cosmic Top Secret remains a foundational reference in DUMB and ARV research.

ARV Research and Cosmic Top Secret

Hamilton coined the term "Alien Reproduction Vehicle" and produced the first public conceptual image of the craft based on his own informants, predating Brad Sorenson's testimony at Norton AFB and Mark McCandlish's subsequent detailed diagram. His early work on ARVs established the terminology and visual framework that later researchers built upon. His 1992 book Cosmic Top Secret — described by UAP Gerb as "the most underappreciated book in all of UFOlogy" — contains what is likely the first published use of the term "ARV" (though Hamilton initially rendered the acronym as "alien replicated vehicle"). Hamilton spoke with William B. Scott of Aviation Week and Space Technology to discuss the Sorenson fluxliner testimony in the early 1990s, then passed both Sorenson and forensic illustrator Bill McDonald to Steven Greer, who featured them at the 2001 Disclosure Project event.

Underground Base Investigation and the Antelope Valley Network

Beginning in the late 1980s, Hamilton developed an extensive network of informants providing testimony about alleged underground UFO facilities in California's Antelope Valley. His research focused intensively on the Tehachapi Ranch (Northrop) facility, sometimes called the "Anthill" due to its purported network of underground tunnels. Among the significant testimonies Hamilton compiled:

  • A local property owner near Tehachapi reported observing the ground opening like a missile silo, from which a flying saucer took off; the witness was subsequently silenced by Edwards AFB OSI personnel.
  • A contractor named Chuck described digging underground tunnels beneath the Anthill, claiming tunnels featured round doorways with few doors and red and green ID/entry lights.
  • A source claiming to have worked on "Project Star Talk" at Tehachapi described a large underground building using lasers to "bring in UFOs" via scalar technology.
  • An informant referred to as "Gober" claimed to work at Tehachapi, Helendale, and the Nevada Test and Training Range with alien technology that "deeply frightened him"; he reported on-site personnel rotating every 14–16 days and a command center existing under Haystack Butte.
  • Multiple informants described ground vehicles and maglev train systems within DUMBs connecting installations including Tehachapi, McDonald Douglas, Helendale, George AFB, Edwards AFB, the NASA rocket test site, and China Lake.

Based on these sources, Hamilton concluded that a massive complex of underground facilities in the Antelope Valley — all connected via tunnel and transport systems — was engaged in UFO testing, storage, and material exploitation.

The DUMB Network Map

Hamilton's most significant contribution to underground base research is a map of alleged connected underground UFO facilities and transport links across the American West, compiled from informants including "TA" (1990) and Thomas Castello. UAP Gerb has analyzed this map against DOD laboratory locations and RAND Corporation's 1972 Very High Speed Transit (VHST) feasibility study, finding significant geographic correspondence — particularly in southwestern routes through Arizona and New Mexico. The map identifies nodes at Edwards AFB, Tehachapi, Helendale, McDonald Douglas, George AFB, China Lake, Area 51, Tonopah, Los Alamos, Sandia/Kirtland, Cheyenne Mountain, and other sites, with R&D designations at many locations rather than full DUMB designations.

Richard Sauder spoke with Hamilton at length about this map and, as of UAP Gerb's DUMBs video, planned to discuss it further in a future collaborative project.
