Ohio UFO Crash Connection Report

In 1994, Scott authored the MUFON UFO Journal article "The Ohio UFO Crash Connection and Other Stories," which compiled accounts connecting Ohio-based individuals to alleged crash retrieval events. The most significant section of the article, titled "Decoding the I-Beam," documented a 1992 witness account from a man who had dated the daughter of EJ Center — a senior chemical engineer at Battelle Memorial Institute — in the late 1950s. According to the witness, Center stated that while working at Battelle he had been "responsible for a project which required him to study Parts retrieved from a flying saucer."

Scott's documentation of this disclosure is considered important in UAP research because it was published in 1994, well before the 2010 declassification of Center's actual 1949 Battelle contract work on Nitinol (Nickel-Titanium Alloy) for Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. The temporal independence of the verbal account and the documentary record lends additional credibility to the claim that Battelle analyzed crash-retrieved non-human material.
