John Dusza
John Dusza is a paranormal writer and 25-year veteran of the FBI who is credited as an inspiration for elements of The X-Files television series. In 2023, Dusza published a YouTube video asserting that the first season of The X-Files was based on true cases he investigated during his FBI career.

Dusza described being sent to a military base where several disappearances had been associated with the appearance of UFOs. The base commander was at his "wit's end" with the repeated phenomena. Dusza and his partner joined a regular observation group at the base perimeter and witnessed UFOs filled with light that "didn't even appear metal anymore." One of the craft approached Dusza and his partner directly, appearing to land on them before vanishing. Base personnel subsequently detained Dusza against his will and interrogated him about his knowledge of the UFOs.
This account closely mirrors the plot of the X-Files episode "Deep Throat," which featured a USAF base with missing test pilots, a triangular craft, and the forcible capture and memory-wiping of the protagonist.
