Role in the Wilson-Davis Meeting

According to the Wilson-Davis memo, Shannon requested that Wilson speak to Davis about what Wilson had told Commander Will Miller regarding crashed/retrieved UFO craft. Shannon's involvement suggests he was aware of Wilson's 1997 investigation into crash retrieval programs and had maintained contact with Wilson after the admiral's retirement from the DIA.

Confirmation of Authenticity

Shannon later confirmed the authenticity of the Wilson-Davis memo in an interview with Jay Anderson for the Project Unity podcast. His confirmation carries significant weight given his career managing special projects at Los Alamos National Laboratories, one of the most sensitive research facilities in the United States, and his direct involvement in facilitating the meeting.

Notes from the 1985 Advanced Theoretical Working Group

Shannon's personal notes from the 1985 Advanced Theoretical Working Group, held at BDM International's McLean secure facility and classified using DOE controls, were published in 2022. Beyond their bearing on the Wilson-Davis Memo context, the notes contain USO-relevant intelligence: Shannon recorded that the US Navy held intelligence on an underwater UFO hotspot near Gulfoss San Matias off the coast of Argentina. The notes also reference UAP hotspots including Mount Hayes, Alaska.

UAP Gerb cites the Argentina underwater hotspot reference in the context of the growing evidence for a classified Navy maritime UAP tracking program, noting Shannon's connection to highly sensitive government research as a factor lending weight to the claim.
