Thomas J DuBose
Colonel Thomas J. DuBose was Chief of Staff to Brigadier General Roger Ramey at Fort Worth Army Air Field during the July 1947 Roswell incident. He is notable in UFO history for later sworn statements that the weather balloon narrative used after the initial Roswell "flying disc" press release was a cover story.

Role In The Roswell Incident
DuBose was positioned inside the command structure that handled material transferred from Roswell to Fort Worth. In later interviews and affidavits, he stated that the material shown publicly in Ramey's office did not represent the original Roswell recovery and that the weather balloon explanation was used to shut down press attention.
Evidentiary Significance
Because DuBose held a senior operational role at Fort Worth in July 1947, his testimony is often treated as corroboration of claims by Walter Haut and Jesse Marcel that a deliberate public misdirection operation occurred.
