Joseph Stafula
Joseph Stafula is a journalist and former agent of the United States Army Criminal Investigation Command (CID) who has served as a conduit for anonymous insider testimony regarding UAP detection by US military satellite systems. Stafula received claims from an anonymous source describing a 1984 incident in which a Defense Support Program (DSP) satellite detected a UAP traveling at approximately 22,000 mph toward Earth, passing within 1.5 miles of the DSP satellite before abruptly changing course — a maneuver inconsistent with any known natural or man-made object.

Significance
Stafula's reporting connects the US military's space-based early warning infrastructure to UAP tracking. The DSP satellite network, managed by the NRO (National Reconnaissance Office), was designed to detect ballistic missile launches via infrared sensors, but according to Stafula's sources, these satellites also routinely detected anomalous objects entering and exiting Earth's atmosphere — objects designated as "Fast Walkers" by NORAD and US Northern Command.
