Finnish Air Force

The Finnish Air Force (Ilmavoimat) is the aerial warfare branch of the Finnish Defense Force. The April 12, 1969 Pori Airport UFO Incident remains the only UFO observation officially acknowledged by the Finnish Air Force in its history. During that incident, two pilots — Tarmo Tukia and Juhani Korhonen — independently observed seven disc-shaped pale yellow objects that accelerated away at extraordinary speed against a 180 km/h headwind. Radar detection 200 km away in Vaasa confirmed the objects at an estimated speed of 3,218 meters per second.
