Disclosure Project
The Disclosure Project is a nonprofit research organization founded by Dr. Steven Greer in 1993, dedicated to compelling the US government to declassify information about UAP, extraterrestrial intelligence, and advanced energy technologies. The organization is most notable for its May 9, 2001 event at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C., at which over 20 credentialed military, government, and intelligence witnesses testified publicly about UAP encounters and alleged cover-up activities.

2001 National Press Club Event
The 2001 National Press Club event attracted significant media attention and featured testimony from dozens of witnesses with credentials including military officers, intelligence analysts, and government scientists. Among the participants was aerospace illustrator Mark McCandlish, who presented his technical cutaway blueprint of the ARV Flux Liner and discussed his investigation into the craft.
McCandlish and Brad Sorenson
A significant and regretted consequence of the Disclosure Project's involvement with McCandlish was its pressure on him to publicly name his primary source, Brad Sorenson. McCandlish described being "prodded by people in the Disclosure Project to name names," which he did — a decision he stated he was "almost coerced" into by Greer and which he deeply regretted, as it brought sustained unwanted attention and career damage to Sorenson. McCandlish later stated: "Not being a journalist, not having a background in journalism, I didn't really know... that this could be potentially very harmful to the individuals who had been the original source of the material."
Witness Archive and Anonymous Testimonies
Beyond its public events, the Disclosure Project maintains an extensive archive of witness testimonies, including anonymous accounts. The archive assigns numbered identifiers to redacted witnesses. Two such entries are relevant to UAP Gerb's research:
- Witness number 10138 is believed by UAP Gerb to correspond to anonymous Marine whistleblower "RB," who claimed to have guarded a recovered disc-shaped craft at an undisclosed military base in December 1963. Whether RB ever spoke directly with Greer is unknown.
- Witness number 101179 is identified by UAP Gerb as Elaine Boder, president of the 3af-p, who claimed to have seen an uncut NASA film depicting six UFOs descending onto the lunar surface during Apollo 8.
