UFO VNI is a YouTube channel that specializes in publishing UFO and UAP footage submitted by eyewitnesses. The channel became notable as the original publisher of the "Metapod" footage, one of the most discussed close-up UAP videos in recent years.

Metapod Footage Publication
On September 7, 2015, UFO VNI received an email from a Spanish witness using the pseudonym Modesto, who had filmed an anomalous structured craft near El Escorial, Madrid, Spain the previous day. Modesto's submission email detailed the sighting circumstances, requested strict anonymity, and specified that the exact GPS coordinates not be made public.
UFO VNI published the footage shortly after receiving it, making it one of the first channels to share what would become known as the "Metapod" UAP video. The footage quickly spread across UFO research communities, appearing on Portuguese forums by September 8, 2015, and being covered by Third Phase of the Sun on September 11, 2015.
Footage Removal and Mystery
At some point after its initial publication, UFO VNI removed the Metapod video from its channel. The reasons for the takedown remain unclear, though it is speculated that UFO VNI may have removed the footage at Modesto's request to preserve the witness's anonymity or protect the specific location from public attention. Modesto had explicitly requested in his original email that personal and location information remain private.
Following UFO VNI's removal of the video, other channels including UFO Invasions re-uploaded the footage in 2017, though these secondary uploads were also later taken down.
