Pucallpa
Pucallpa is a city in eastern Peru, approximately 300 miles from Lima, that served as the primary acknowledged location for Operation Laser Strike, a classified US SOUTHCOM counter-narcotics operation in 1996–1997. Since at least 2001, Pucallpa has received publicity as a Laser Strike location.

While many researchers initially assumed that Jonathan Weygandt and MAC G28 Marines were stationed at Pucallpa during the 1997 Peru UFO Crash Incident, UAP Gerb's investigation favors Iquitos, Peru as the more likely base of operations, based on the classified nature of the contact Marine's refusal to discuss the base location, and the fact that Pucallpa's distance from Lima (approximately 1 hour by C-130) does not match Wagant's description of a several-hour flight with one stop.
