Langley Air Force Base
Langley Air Force Base (formally Joint Base Langley-Eustis since 2010) is a United States Air Force installation located in Hampton, Virginia, adjacent to the city of Newport News. It is the headquarters of Air Combat Command (ACC) and home to the 1st Fighter Wing, one of the oldest and most storied fighter wings in the Air Force. The base also hosts NASA Langley Research Center on adjacent grounds, which includes hangars and research facilities that have been in operation since the early twentieth century. Langley's strategic location on the Virginia Peninsula and its status as an ACC headquarters make it one of the most operationally significant Air Force bases on the East Coast.
UAP Significance
Langley AFB is the site of whistleblower Dylan Borland's reported observation of a large anomalous triangular craft around 2012. Borland testified to witnessing a large, equilateral triangular craft with black metallic flake paint and a gold, lava-like plasma fluid flowing over its surface hovering silently over a NASA hangar on the base. The craft displayed apparent electro-optic cloaking behavior. The presenter of "The Hidden Wing" contextualizes this account within the Hidden Wing thesis, suggesting the triangular craft may represent a deployed derivative or reverse-engineered airframe consistent with ARV program outputs from the Edwards 412th Test Wing.
