UAP Significance

Emerson Dry Lake is the specific location where Rodrik Castle encountered a triangular craft and clandestine armed operators during the 1997 Hunter Warrior Advanced Warfighting Experiment. Castle, then a Sergeant with VMA-513 Flying Nightmares, was conducting a night patrol in the area when he observed a large triangular vehicle — consistent with descriptions of the TR-3B — stationary or hovering at low altitude near the dry lake bed. Armed operators in all-black, unmarked gear were present at the site. The varied terrain surrounding the lake bed, with multiple access roads and remote positioning away from the main exercise areas, made it an ideal location for clandestine operations conducted alongside the acknowledged Hunter Warrior exercise.
