Tejon Ranch
Tejon Ranch is a large private landholding in the Tehachapi Mountains of California, along the I-5 corridor approximately 60 miles north of Los Angeles. Northrop Grumman purchased 1,415 acres of Tejon Ranch land for a radar cross-section (RCS) testing facility — known variously as the Tehachapi RCS Range or Tejon facility — which conducted classified RCS testing of aircraft and structures from approximately the 1980s until its official closure in 2011, purportedly due to electromagnetic interference from nearby photovoltaic and wind energy developments. Following closure, the property was sold and eventually transferred to Scout Clean Energy under the Keyhole Wind LLC for a wind energy project.
Despite the official closure narrative, investigators allege the surface campus is a "staged dereliction" — deliberately maintained to appear abandoned while underground operations continue. Evidence cited includes: the interior of the facility was found to be suspiciously clean and free of debris by content creator Wasteland by Wednesday despite over a decade of alleged abandonment; spent bullet casings were found inside buildings, consistent with active security operations; a locked generator building contained ventilation shafts leading underground; copies of Project Blue Book documents were found scattered inside; a witness reported a Black Hawk-type helicopter landing near the main hangar, remaining approximately 20 minutes, and departing eastward; a person cycling near the security perimeter reported a burst of light, skin burning, and nausea consistent with a directed energy weapon; and engineers reportedly told researcher Bill Hamilton they had been involved in constructing a massive underground complex beneath the facility — allegedly comprising 42 levels — which they called "the Anthill." Drone footage obtained by researcher Anders of Uncanny Expeditions confirmed the facility's RCS runways and pylons remain intact. The video situates Tejon Ranch within the broader alleged "Hidden Wing" portfolio of test and evaluation facilities for recovered non-human vehicles.
