Strategic Defense Initiative (SDI)
The Strategic Defense Initiative (SDI), colloquially known as "Star Wars," was a missile defense program proposed by President Ronald Reagan in 1983 intended to protect the United States mainland from ballistic nuclear missile attack using a combination of ground-based and space-based defensive technologies. In UAP research, SDI is alleged to have served a dual purpose: beyond its public missile defense mission, multiple sources claim significant portions of SDI funding were diverted to classified aerospace programs involving reverse-engineered non-human technology.
Alleged UAP Connection
Edgar Fouché claimed that his sources estimated up to 35% of SDI's annual funding was siphoned off to support USAF black programs beginning in 1982. This money allegedly bolstered the Defense Advanced Research Center (DARC) at Area 51 and funded the development of the TR-3B and other craft under the Aurora Program. The Reagan administration purportedly placed extreme importance on the construction of alien reproduction vehicles.
The connection between SDI and ARV development is corroborated by Brad Sorenson's 1988 testimony. At the Norton Air Force Base exhibit where Sorenson witnessed the Flux Liner ARV, program officials informed attendees they were requesting additional Congressional funding to build more reverse-engineered craft — during the same period SDI was receiving massive appropriations.
Stealth aircraft researcher John Joseph additionally claims Boeing served as the primary contractor in Project Brilliant, an SDI program with the goal of establishing an electromagnetic shield around the United States using a boomerang-shaped craft capable of loitering over cities.
