Metapod
"Metapod" is the colloquial name given to a distinctive crescent-shaped UAP filmed near El Escorial, Madrid, Spain on September 6, 2015 by witness Modesto. The name has become the standard designation for this specific craft morphology, which has been observed in multiple locations worldwide across several decades.
Physical Description
The Metapod exhibits several distinctive structural features:
Shape and Form: Crescent moon or pod-like shape with curved surfaces when viewed from various angles.
Materials: The back portion appears metallic and reflective, catching sunlight. The front face features transparent glass-like material, possibly serving as a viewing window or observation port.
Orientation: When vertical, the craft maintains the transparent face on one side and reflective metallic surface on the opposite side—a consistent pattern across multiple sightings.
Flight Characteristics
- Silent operation (no audible propulsion)
- Vertical descent capability
- Variable stable rotation along X-axis (counterclockwise to clockwise with variable acceleration)
- Intelligent maneuvering (linear traversal, standstill in wind, controlled altitude changes)
- No visible propulsion systems
The craft exhibits three of AATIP (Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program)'s Five UAP Characteristics (AATIP): instantaneous acceleration, anti-gravity/no visible propulsion, and low observability.
Global Sightings Pattern
Morphologically similar craft documented in:
- 1998 Peru: Los Paradas / Parachutes of Myu Footage
- 2006 Mexico: Monterrey Witch (La Bruja) Sighting
- 2015 Spain: Primary footage near El Escorial, Madrid, Spain
- 2021 Vancouver: Vancouver Metapod Sighting
- 2022 Alleged: US Navy Blue Angels Cockpit Leak
- 2023 Texas: Texas Hang Glider Sighting
Witness Observations
Mo, co-witness with Modesto, reported seeing something alive with limbs moving inside the craft through the transparent face, suggesting either biological occupants or visible internal mechanisms.
Debunking Attempts
Proposed prosaic explanations (balloons, inflatables, CGI, string-suspended objects) have failed to achieve consensus. Even Metabunk users found inconsistencies in debunk theories, with craft jitter matching physical object behavior rather than digital artifacts.
