The 1933 Magenta UFO Crash Retrieval refers to the alleged crash or landing of an unknown bell-shaped craft near Magenta, Italy on June 13, 1933. According to original Italian government documents provided to researcher Roberto Pinotti, the craft was recovered by Benito Mussolini's fascist regime and secretly examined by the RS-33 (Gabinetto RS 33), a covert scientific commission Mussolini personally headed. The case is notable for the claim that Richard Bissell Jr. — CIA Deputy Director for Plans under Eisenhower — privately confirmed its authenticity to economist Harold Malmgren.

Recovery and Italian Custody
The craft — described as approximately 10 meters in diameter and bell-shaped — remained in Italian possession throughout the fascist era. It was allegedly stored first at SIAI-Marchetti Aircraft Company hangars in Varese, Italy and later transferred to Mussolini's bunker under Mount Soratte. Guglielmo Marconi and astronomer Gino Cecchini reportedly participated in scientific examination of the craft under RS-33's oversight.
OSS Recovery
Following Italy's collapse in 1943–1944, Pope Pius XII reportedly back-channeled intelligence about the craft to the United States. US Office of Strategic Services (OSS) agents recovered the craft in 1944 or 1945. David Grusch and journalist Christopher Sharp have cited this case in connection with UAP material held in US government custody that predates Roswell.
