Belgian UFO Wave

The Belgian UFO Wave was a series of mass triangular UFO sightings that occurred across Belgium from November 1989 through early 1990. Hundreds of witnesses reported a large, flat, triangular craft with lights underneath flying at low altitudes. The event is one of the most well-documented mass UAP sighting events in history and has been cited both as evidence of advanced human-made craft testing over allied nations and as a focal point of the TR-3B credibility debate.

Timeline

In November 1989, hundreds of reports surfaced from Belgium describing a large flat triangular-shaped craft flying at low altitudes with lights on its underside. The wave culminated on the night of March 30, 1990, when an unknown object was tracked by radar and pursued by two Belgian F-16 fighters who were unable to locate or intercept the triangle.

US Government Response

Internal DOD documents, once classified, revealed that US authorities investigated the Belgian wave and confirmed to the Belgian Air Force and Ministry of Defence that no US stealth aircraft — including the B-2 and F-117A — were operating in the region. UAP Gerb posits that if the sightings were of a stealth craft even more secret than the B-2 and F-117, such as the TR-3B, its existence would be embedded within special access programs accessible only to those with the highest clearances and need-to-know access.

Fouché Controversy

Critics of Edgar Fouché, particularly Jeremy Rys, alleged that Fouché fabricated his TR-3B testimony by combining stories about the Nazi Bell device with the Belgian wave sightings to construct a more believable narrative. UAP Gerb considers this criticism overly simplistic, noting that Fouché's disclosures contain far more specific detail than could be derived from the Belgian sightings alone.
