Borland's Triangular Craft Sighting
Borland's Triangular Craft Sighting refers to the firsthand account of Dylan Borland, a U.S. Air Force veteran stationed at Langley Air Force Base around 2012, who witnessed a large equilateral triangular craft exhibiting characteristics consistent with advanced propulsion and apparent electro-optic cloaking. The account is among the more detailed military witness testimonies in the UAP disclosure landscape and is cited in the "Hidden Wing" investigative series as evidence of test and evaluation of reverse-engineered non-human airframes at USAF facilities.

The Sighting
While on duty at Langley Air Force Base, Borland observed a large, equilateral triangular craft hovering silently over a NASA hangar on the base. The craft exhibited the following characteristics:
- Exterior surface: Black metallic flake paint with a gold, lava-like plasma fluid flowing across the surface
- Cloaking behavior: The craft appeared to employ an electro-optic cloaking system, and the witness described it as seeming to manifest around a light source — a visual effect consistent with active light-bending technology potentially derived from non-human intelligence
- Silent flight: No audible propulsion was detected, and no rotor wash disturbed nearby vegetation
- Four lights: Visible at the craft's corners prior to its departure
- Rapid departure: The craft shot vertically upward in silence
At the moment of the craft's departure, Borland reported feeling strong static electricity and detecting a sharp thunderstorm-like odor. The witness's phone overheated and froze during the encounter. These post-encounter effects are consistent with electromagnetic interference reported in other military UAP witness accounts.
Significance
Borland has expressed the view that AARO would have answers regarding the origin and nature of what he observed. The UAP Gerb "Hidden Wing" presentation cites Borland's account as consistent with alleged test and evaluation of derivative or reverse-engineered non-human airframes conducted under the Hidden Wing program portfolio, potentially involving assets operating out of the Edwards 412th Test Wing. The combination of Langley's association with Air Combat Command and the triangular craft's observed characteristics — including the plasma-like surface effect and electro-optic cloaking — leads researchers to place this sighting within the alleged portfolio of reverse-engineered UAP technology being tested within the U.S. Air Force infrastructure.
